Where is the bank2 sensor1 oxygen sensor located on my 98 Silverado (5.7 liter)?

Driver side after the cat I believe.

no..................... bank 2 is passengers side position 1 is the O2 sensor in the exhaust Y on the passengers side

I (emphasis on "I") know what you meant by "position 1" , but if he doesn't know where "bank one, sensor one" is to begin with there's a good chance he may not know where "position 1" is.

I wasn't correcting you or duplicating your answer - just clarifying.

Fixed it yesterday, working great! My gas mileage already seems like it is doing better than when it completely went out. It must have been "lazy" before it went out? That's kind of what I hear can happen. Thank you ALL for your help.

No problem it was meant more as a poking fun or "ribbing" if you will and nothing more. and I agree if you cant find #1 than you are lost from the beginning.
