I have a '94 Ram 1500. The "check engine" light came on and I went to a parts store to have the code read. I couldn't find the connector. I checked under the dash on the driver's side, then the passenger side, then under the hood around the fuse block, then in the cab by the fuse block, then I removed the lower dash panel on the driver's side. I could not see the connector. Is it hidden somewhere or connected to a dummy holder?

On my 95 v10 it is in the engine compartment, right in front of the passenger, coming out of the harness at the top of the firewall. But ---turn ign key on-off-on-off-on and count the flashes of the check engine light. one flash pause two flashes means code 12 which means your battery has been disconnected within the last 50 ign key on cycles. Five followed by five is 55 means end of code display. If you get other codes write them down in the order they were displayed and come on back here or google them to find out what they mean. Alex

By the way did not mention that your truck is OBD1 not OBD2 so the zone probably won't give you much. Alex

the connector on the 95 is not the same as the 94. 1994 was still OBDI, which means that you have to do the "key trick"...there is no plug-in reader.
