The guage reads high. Even on a cold engine. Reads 215

Local Chevy dealer wants to run diag. at the tune of $315.00 Just to tell
me the problem- I don't have that Kind of cash.

Any solution's would be helpfull.

My temp guage only moves to the first line past cold at 180 at 210 it is in the middle of the guage. Is this normal I have checked my sender actually both of them because I replaced the first one before I saw how to check them. On a maybe related issue my 3 amp fuse on the right side of the fuse block keeps blowing 3 amp fuses but doesnt blow a 10 amp, Ive searched and can find no shorts and with it not blowing the 10 amp I dont think there is a short. All my other guages work and read fine even the fuel guage. Do you think the problem is in the guage itself, drawing too much current. I dont get why my fuel reads right and the temp wrong if the fuse size is the issue. Would a new speed cluster fix it?Mike

Mine does the same thing as D. . I thought the guy before me may have put a different thermostat on it but thats all i got. It still runs fine and ive never noticed a problem from it.
