I bought an 05 F150 last summer. I hate the damn thing. It has no horspower --
no engine assist when going downhill with a trailer. It rides nice and smooth on the
trails -- THAT SUCKS! The ride is too quiet - if I wanted quiet, I'd buy a car.

I'm looking to trade it in - at a loss of course, and get something that I like more.

Does any manufacturer make a real pickup any more, or are they all just Cadillacs on big tires? I think all the pansies that are buying trucks just to have trucks are ruining it for the rest of us who actually know what 4-wheel drive is for.

Just looking for any input from others who own newer trucks...

I don't really like any of the newer truck models which is why i bought a 2001 Dodge Ram extended cab. It's a really nice truck but it has the power to back it up. 5.9 liter that gives me what I want when I want it. Sometimes you have to take a good truck and make it better yourself. I'm always going offroad, so I put 33 in tires and new ranchero shocks. Duel exhaust and K&N airfilter are pretty much all I've changed. This spring I'll be putting on new exhaust and headers. A lot of people buy trucks and don't use them for what they were made for. This beast is my daily driver and work horse!

Chevy is the way to go, with minor upgrades the 5.3 will out perfom the 5.7 hemi with the same mods plus you get the tow-haul button!
