I picked up a 2002 f350 3 weeks ago. the front brakes were shot. The caliper on the driver's side front needs replaced as well as the rotor. The caliper is no problem. But I've never pulled a rotor before. Does anyone have any advice?

Is your truck a 4x4? normally rotors are slid over the hub & may be retained by a couple bolts. Removal after it's been on the road for awhile can require some persuasion with a dead blow hammer. As always thou having a manual handy can answer most questions;)

Yes it is a 4X4. I received some advice from a friend. He is a MOOG mechanic and has delt w/sticky rotors before. It took about 5 minutes with a propane torch to warm the rotor up enough that it pulled easily off the hub assembly. (Be very careful not to torch the plastic parts of the hub.)
