So i appear to have the wiring problem fixed, but for some reason, my key wont turn. I mean literally my when wont unlock so that i can turn my key. Its in park, ive tried moving the wheel as i try turning the key but its wont let me turn. It has been sitting a while, so my battery is probably dad but that should still have nothing to do with my key not turning. If i have to replace my key hole, how big of a job is that and how can i go about taking out the old one and putting in a new one?

Maybe your battery has to be giving off a charge for the wheel turn key turn to unlock it! Just a guess don't really know. But I would wait and see what Argon say's he usually knows whats wrong and how to fix it.

Ah..an old "round" column...
Have you ever done battle with the lock ring in those?..you MUST have the depresser tool to mash the round plate down get to the ring.
It does take a little skill and tools..You can probably get that tool from an auto parts....and of course,a steering wheel puller
