Ok, everyone here is probally going to think I'm an idiot now but how in the hell do you get the stupid shift knob off on this truck. I work at autozone and bought this nice hurst T-handle shift knob. I spent hours trying to get the old one off. I have tried everything I could possibly think of doing. I'm down to two different options. One involes a sawsall and the other is pushing the stupid truck off an overpass into I-81. Does anyone have any better ideas?

Its a 2006 Colorado LT w/ 5speed. If its splined in does anyone make a full shifter assembly for it?

Figures. Umm where would be a good place to order the shaft from? I've looked at work and we don't carry anything for the truck. I have one for my chevelle that I could probally mod a little to get it to fit, but I would rather have something made for the truck. I trust my abilities to make something, considering everything I have for the truck I've made (exaust, intake, fiberglass speaker boxes, etc...).
