Well, I just joined the rank of Dodge Dakota owners a few days ago. I was owning a beat up toyota pickup, 1988, that had been put into a tree and I'd been working to keep alive. It was stolen though, forcing me into a situation where I had to upgrade to something nicer.
So, I got the above dodge dakota. 130k miles, cost me $5000. It's in great condition, runs great, and looks great.
QUESTIONS:
-I'm looking into a truck bed cover, as going with a canopy doesn't interest me again. If I ever have to move something really big I'll just pull it in a trailer. Anyone have any comments about roll on VS hardtop?
-When idling, the motor seems to vibrate a bit more than I would expect. It idles fine, sounds fine, and doesn't have any power issues so I'm guessing the motor is fine. I've had a few people suggest the tensioner for the belt, or perhaps a motor mount. Anyone know if there's a common issue with this make and model that it could be?
-Anyone have any experience with converting the rear wheels to disk brakes?
