I have a 1962 GMC C-30 379ci V-6 is there any performance up grade's??</P>
can i wake up this old out of date dinosure engine up?? </P>
higher compression bigger cam better carb ect??</P>

i`m not very familiar with that engine but it sounds like an outdated v-6. IMO....new engine...if that is out of the budget you probally arent going to much better than headers (if you can find em) and cat back exhaust

Try www.cliffordperformance.com. These guys can point you in the right direction. Offenhauser can also get some pretty nostalgic speed parts for old iron like yours. I think within the last 6 months, Hot Rod mag did a big build up of a straight 6 chevy. Check their archives section out. I know they did, I just don't remember what month it was.

IF YOU PUT Amsoil in your engine ,and your transmission you will increase yuor power. Not only will you increase your power ,but less wear and tear on your engine.

LMAO.
Average power increase on a piston engine for each full point of compression is 2% max.
