I am looking to lift my 2000 Dakota 2WD 2". This is strictly a city truck with very little gravel road driving and nooff road driving. I purchased a kit from fatbobsgarage.com but I need some advice from you all!

1) The front lift is a spacer which fits under the spring. Do I need longer shocks? Am I able to align the
front end withoutmodifications? Any excessive wear to be expected? What about longer brake lines ?
Anything else you can think of would be appreciated !!


2) The rear lift uses an extra spring. This will be MUCH easier. The same basic questions apply as above.

I just put a 2" leveling kit on the front of my truck. with the 2" lift, shocks are not needed but recommended to allow for the extra shock excursion. I think the only think that you need to worry about is the ball joints may expire a little faster because of the gap that is made in the ball joint housing. Have your ball joint inspected first. the truck should align good...mine did. With the rear,I don't think any problems should occur but like I said I only did the front of my truck. For the rear, I don't think shocks are required but I would still recommend them.
