I honestly don't know if this is true, but someone i know had a few conversations with dodge truck owners and their claim is through some legal deals and problems the engine maker for ford opt'd to put the engines in dodge trucks.
i think to myself this is not true, especially if it's HEMI because that is allpar which has had no ties to ford from what i have read. but if anyone could let me know if this is true i'll at least know the truth.

The only thing Ford owns is the Cummins. That is the only engine! They bought Cummins after Cummins set up the deal with Dodge so Ford cannot use that engine for I think it's another 2 years.

Ford Engine in Dodge TrucksThe Cummins is the motor brand that is used in the truck. Just as Ford's Powerstroke is built by International/Navistar, and Chevy/GMC's Duramax is built by Isuzu

the cummins 6.7 CTD is used in the F650 and F750 ford trucks connected to an allison auto trans. ford now makes their own diesel enginessince their divorce from International
