Ok new guy here with a major question.

Our 92 silverado was running great, then I did a tune-up on it. I changed plugs, wires, rotor, cap, pcv valve, and air filter. Then we took a trip to Florida, maybe 400 miles. Since returning, the truck does not want to run when it is first started up in the morning. It acts like it has no power at all, but if you let it warm up for 10 minutes or so, it runs great for about an hour or so, then starts surging and running like crap again.
I thought it might be the fuel filter so we changed it, and it was pretty cruddy and stopped up. After that the truck ran great for about 3 days, then started doing the same thing all over again.
Now I am about at my wits end, I dont have any other ideas of what it could be. I think it could be the fuel pump, but if it was wouldn't it run like crap all of the time?

Any ideas?

check yur gap on yur plugs they might be fouled

First take the truck to an Auto Zone, Napa, or other auto parts store, Have them hook up a diagnostics computer and check for dead cylinders. I used to have this problem in my 97 silverado. My problem was a disintegrated fuel regulator. This will cause the engine to run too rich and cause light vibration and misfire at lower RPMs. As you begin to drive at higher RPMs or at a more constant speed, the richness of the fuel doesn’t have as much effect.

I wonder if you got a bad tank of gas in other words if it was half water it would block the new filter in no time. Check plugs and wires too.
