View Full Version : Stock Silverado with a lift kit?
Johnny5 09-11-2007, 07:04 PM Hey guys just looking into getting a new truck. Currently Ive got a neon srt-4 but have always been into trucks. I really like trucks with a lift kit and am found of the new Silverados. My question to you guys is are there any Silverados that come stock with a lift kit and other mods? This way the factory warranty is still kept. I kno of one edition the southern comofort edition but there hard to find, know of any others?
Thankss
SouthBayZ71 09-11-2007, 07:07 PM Most dealerships have lifted rigs on their lots ....they have relationships with local shops and they do the work and return them to the lot to sell them. Around here, California Customs does a lot of work for the dealers ..
If your local dealer doesn't have any, call around to surrounding communities to see what they have.
Derekm162 09-11-2007, 07:14 PM in my local dealers they usually have 2 or 3 in some and others have none.. so jsut look around at some different dealers
hunt4game29 09-11-2007, 07:22 PM Same around my town that is if you want to pay $60,000 for a lifted truck from the dealer. And the regency edition. (I think thats the edition anyways never have looked in to them since they cost so much more then a stock one)
SouthBayZ71 09-11-2007, 07:30 PM I was just thinking about that Hunt ...the mods that they do aren't cheap ...and I've heard from more than a few people that they aren't done right either. They will lift it, slap some 35" tires and 20" rimsand leave the 3.42 gears in ...WTF?!?!?
Your best bet is to either just buy a stocker and drive it until the warenty expires.... or just say "F-it" and do the mods anyway. You will get better parts for cheaper ...and you will learn a lot more about your truck.
Best of luck to ya!
chevy112488 09-11-2007, 08:16 PM in my personal experience, south bay is exactly right, even if they do look nice and are lifted, they probably dont have the internals you really need to do anything offroad... id just buy the stock one and do what you want to it, before or after the warranty
Derekm162 09-11-2007, 09:59 PM speaking about lifts.. i was looking to get either a 2 or 3 inch body lift anyone know how much those run for?
chevy112488 09-11-2007, 10:29 PM you can get one for 250 or so at o'reilly... other shops charge more... i got quoted 585 for installation... add about another 40 for the bumper lift kit
72charger 09-12-2007, 06:32 AM I've only ever seen 1 Regency Silverado and it was slammed, not lifted. The thing is nice though! Chrome wheels, real low, awesome exhaust, completely custom interior(nothing stock there), black paint job with big red SS stripes down the middle, and painted bed topper with spoiler. I'd give my Camaro and my truck for that truck, :D.
BlackHorse99 09-12-2007, 11:22 AM i made my own body lift out of square tubing, but i would probably say buy one to someone without much fabrication experince
gpet6669 09-12-2007, 11:45 AM I think in Texas they have a remington version that is lifted, they aslo had another one that I cannot remember the name of. But I test drove one when I was there for the military and it was ok, but it pulled pretty bad. I didn't care enuf to ask to see if they alligned it. I was just board and wanted to drive a truck. Damn wifes car!
SouthBayZ71 09-12-2007, 12:29 PM I looked up the Remington version ...not a bad looking rig.

chevy112488 09-15-2007, 01:04 AM 71?!?!?! does it come with a chauffeur?
no but i'm pretty sure the 40lbs worth of stickers on it is good for 100,000 horsepower.
