I am looking at a 2004 4 door Silverado 2500. It is NOT an HD and is NOT a duramax. Just a little ole gas mobile. I have a drag car that weighs around 3200 lbs. Will this truck pull my race car with, lets say a 28ft enclosed trailer with maybe a 4 wheeler in it with no problems? I have air bags that I can add to the back for help. Would run the weight stabilizers. The truck has a 6.0 motor in it.

It's not really a choice of diesel or not. I can afford the truck I am looking at because it is 20,000. The diesel would set me at least 10 more. I sold my 28 footer, so in reality I'll probably buy a 24 footer or something. As long as I can pull it without hurting the motor I am game. Gas mileage is ok if it is bad while I pull. We had a toyota tundra pulling our 28footer with bags and the stabilizer. It only had about 900 lbs in it though. Not the 3200 lbs race car.
