Howdy,I needing advice about a lower engine rebuild kit, the heads have been remachined to stock specks, there still off the engine.Thehead gaskets blew a few mounths back, and the rear cylinders and rings are rusted and shot. I know a good machine shop to do the work on the block but i'm confused with the kit options from autozone - ring options from advance auto,0.20 or 0.30 oversize? cast iron or molly top ring? deep groove or shallow oil ring? I'm looking for durability and lot of miles ahead. The AZ kitcomes with Deep groove oil ring. Kit includes rod bearings, main bearings, premium piston ring set, full gasket set. For $128.
Thereare no major grooves at the top of the cylinders andI'll read the manual for the out specks . Any advice willhelp .
