I have a '99 Sierra with the 4.8L (new body style). The truck starts fine and idles fine when you start it up in the morning but will hesitate when you first give it some gas backing out of the driveway and again when I get to the end of the block. After that it seems to be fine. What should I check? Is the air flow sensor bad?

On the older C/K body truck with the TBI, if the computer coolant temp sensor is failing, then that type of thing can happen. I dont know if the newer trucks have that, but it might be something to check out.

any new updates? did you eber fix this problem?
