JSM again

I have Got a 1965 Ford F-700:

240-I6,4spd trans,2spd rear,with 8.25-20's.

I'd like to swap in the 5.9L turbo diesel from a dodge...But with the 2 spd rear end i'm thinking i might be better off with a 300-I6 with a 5spd OD tran's...

my worrie is with the Cummin's is if i shift 1-4 in low then 1-5 in high i might end up logging the cummin's witch would not be good..

But the 300-I6 with a cam upgrade, higher compression ratiothe big 2bbl carb Might kick a good bit of power as well and be able to handle shifting 1-4 in low and 1-5 in high as if i looged it a bit it wouldn't blow a head gasket??

Option1:300-I6 gas engine,5spd OD trans,2spd rea,with 9.00-20's.

option 2: 5.9l turbo diesel cummins,5spd trans,2spd rear,with 11.00-20's.
