i am looking at buying an 88 chevy short box with very little rust it has 120,000 miles with a 5.7 v8 the guy is asking 800 bucks for it but it has low oil pressure when running...i have a spare motor to put in it if i do buy it but do you think it is worth it as long as everything else on the truck works let me know thanks

Sounds good to me. Worst case you buy it put a little in it and then resale for more.
Sounds like a pretty good deal if the rest of the truck is in good shape. I would offer him a little less & see what happens.

Try $600. I'd do it. They are easy to fix and maintain, plus you already have an extra engine. The low oil pressure might be band-aided by thicker oil or Lucas additive.

Sounds good. I had a 94 Silverado and had low oil pressure, but it still runs like a champ

Is that the year the gas tanks where outside the frame? If it is buy it and relocate it. It is a good deal. I can't find that around here for less than $1500.

thats a really good deal.Here in Ga. there is a guy asking 1200 for a 77 shortbed without the rearend and tranny.if I were you it would be in my shop by nightfall.
