Hi guys, this is my first time posting on this site, im a long term user of the ford truck enthusist web site, so please bear with me,
Well heres my problem, I purchased my truck in augest, and have had no problems untill now,(knock on wood, just rolled 205,000 miles. with no oil leaks and a strong motor) its a 1993 gmc k1500, ext cab, 4x4, 4.3lv6 5spd/low range tranny.
I was using the four wheel drive thursday in the snow, and it was working great, as it has many times before, then I stopped at the store, went in got myself a coffee, and came back out, when I started my truck and went to back up, I had no four wheel drive, so I waited, and waited, and waited, nothing. so I put it in four low, and tryed that, nothing, the light is off on the floor and seems the front end is not locking in.
So I got it home, and checked stuff over, I have power at the actuator on the front diff. but nothing happens, it dosent seem to be doing anything inside,
But before I condem the actuator, at just shy of 100 bucks, I wanted to check with some people that may know this stuff, I am ford MLR certified, but this is nothing like what I see on the super dutys, so any help would be appreciated,
Thanks for your time,
Jeremy Pfeiffer.
