72charger 02-12-2008, 12:06 AM That's pretty cool, can't really tell what's going on though. That's why night race films suck to me. You know something really cool is happening, but you can only perceive like 5% of it.
rxsteven 02-13-2008, 03:47 PM Yep night vids do suck. but this ones more about the sound than anything i mean it wasnt much of a race and we both new it wouldnt be. Thats the middle of second gear. I just love the sound of my supercharger.
Funny story I was driving in the rain one day and gave it some gas let off and hit it again (spinning the tires) and it kind of sounded like a police siren and 2 cars pulled over and looked all around for a cop or emergency vehicle
72charger 02-14-2008, 12:11 AM That figures, my sound card is broke so I couldn't actually here it.... which explains why I wasn't exactly impressed. LOL, sorry
6mins2live 04-02-2008, 12:20 PM I beat a V6 Mustang in my Saturn the other day with my freshly re-built and bored motor. Punk kid thought he was something hot until he got beat by a plastic 4-banger running on all engine! Can't wait for the turbo! That should put me around 300hp!!
Funny part was I wasnt even looking for a race. I accidentally popped the new clutch (hard to get used too) and spun the tires. Ooppps.
72charger 04-02-2008, 05:57 PM LOL, I didn't realize Saturns had such a following. I wouldn't mind having one of the new Ion Redlines or Skys though.
rxsteven 04-02-2008, 07:59 PM The Sky's are pretty sweet im thinking about selling my Redline to get one. They are rear wheel drive. Ive done about evey thing to stop the wheel hop I get at the strip
72charger 04-03-2008, 09:15 AM You've done traction bars, polyurethane mounts/bushings, grippier tires, played with the tire pressures, had a fat guy sit on the hood, and all? The SRT-4s don't seem to have much trouble withwheel hop and some of those guys arepushing 500hp. Course they're problem is the engines pop too easily.
rxsteven 04-03-2008, 12:31 PM I was making and selling motor mounts for a wile tried drag radios and fabed up my own traction bars. I also made chrome molly frame stiffeners. And I have 3 torque dampeners. The fat guy would jiggle to much and gross everybody out LOL. It spins no mater what ever from a 40 roll of course my rev limiter is set at 8200rpms so I drop it into 2nd at 40.
72charger 04-04-2008, 08:23 AM Dang man! All the way to 40mph in first gearin a 4 banger? LOL!
6mins2live 04-06-2008, 10:37 PM Yeah the wheel hop will kill ya. I actually have a 97 SC2. Im hopping when Im done ill be able to beat up on stock Mustang GT's. Now that would be fun/funny! Ultimate sleeper.
rxsteven 04-06-2008, 11:12 PM Good luck!!
72charger 04-08-2008, 10:56 PM ORIGINAL: rxsteven
Good luck!!
LOL, I know right!
rxsteven 05-23-2008, 07:18 PM The Saturn is sold!!
I miss it already!!!!
I only had it for about 2 years. I went thew 2 trans and I was on the third block. I put allot in that bad boy. The only thing stock under the hood was the crank and block. Saturn Motor Sports told me the crank would hold up to 700hp but it didnt make it to 500hp. The next thing I was going to do was nos. But then my bud wrecked his and asked to buy mine. He saved me allot of money I would have spent blowing motors. Im thinking Challenger next. Im going to hold off untill finish my truck before I buy anything.
72charger 05-23-2008, 11:41 PM Sounds like a good plan to me. What are the plans on the truck?
rxsteven 05-24-2008, 12:19 AM Well I think im going to get a FLT level 5 to start with. Then I want to rebuild the motor its got 166,000. Well lets just say ive been talking with Banks.
72charger 05-24-2008, 11:27 PM Man that's gonna be cool. What is an FLT, some kinda tune? Either way with the kinda money you make I'm sure it will be an awesome truck. I'm definately getting a custom tune on mine after I sell the Supra. Can't wait!
Are you just gonna stay in Indiana or are you actually planning on moving back to Mobile?
rxsteven 05-25-2008, 01:09 AM I was just down there for a few days. I got really pist when I came to work and seen my stuff crushed. So I took some time off and flew home to sell the Saturn. They spent $6.200 replacing my tools and they still got a few more to go. This job is almost done then im coming home. Hell no I wouldn't stay here it sucks up here and its still f-ing cold. they said it was going to be 80 today but it never got past 73. I dont think its got over 75 this year. But I have fond a few good fishing spots.
Oh the FLT is this http://finishlinetrans.com/store/index.php?cPath=1_22
They are pretty good guys and they are in Chicago witch is only like 50 miles from were I am now.
rxsteven 05-25-2008, 01:13 AM I might go with this guy for a dyno tune he is also pretty close. But I real should wait till I start doing the mods.
72charger 05-25-2008, 08:22 AM Yeah it would kinda be a waste of your time to do a tune if your gonna do more mods. I don't know that I actually plan on doing anymore mods except maybe a real K&N cold air intake to replace the "redneck" ram air setup. That's why I'm planning on the tune so soon. Will probably still be about a month and a half or two months from now but I'm stoaked about it.
rxsteven 05-25-2008, 09:01 AM What tune are you going with?
72charger 05-26-2008, 11:01 AM I'm going with a local Corvette specialty shop. They mainly restore and build up Vettes but they recently expanded their horizens to GTO's, trucks, and F-bodies. They were highly recommended by a local speed/dyno shop so that's the plan.
rxsteven 05-26-2008, 11:33 AM That sound good keep it local.
