I have been told that my truck (2002 Chevy Tahoe) didnt start because there was water in the fuel. They have also told me to put dry gas in the tank and bang on the bottom of the tank. After I did what I was instructed to do, the car started immediately. This happened at least two more times before I spent a quarter of the full tank. Just a few moments ago, the truck stalled while I was driving. The truck wouldnt restart. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on anything that could be done to fix this problem?

By the way, Is there a limit to the amount of dry gas that I can use?

There's no limit on the amount of times you can put gas drier in the tank. It's mostly just alcohol that mixes with the water in your tank and makes it burnable so you can get rid of it. Is this all happening on the same tank of gas? If so, I would think you would only have to use the drier once. But maybe not. Maybe you got a real bad load of fuel so I guess just run it out and hope it never happens again.

It may be that your fuel pump is on its way out. Sometimes banging on the tank actually shocks them back into working for a while.
