I have a 1998 F250 4x4 and the shift lever linkage is locked up between park and reverse and i cannot shift at all. (cant put in park, reverse or any gears) because of this problem i cant get it to start. the car has been sitting idle for 2 months now also so this could be a factor. i read there was a recall in 1998 about the linkage problem, stuck out in the country, and need a homefix.
