I have an '01 Sonoma, and one of the straps holding the heat shield on the muffler broke off. I couldn't find the actual strap that goes on, and had to rig it up with a homemade one. The only problem is that I cant get it tight enough not to rattle while driving. I'm thinking about just removing the shield completely and being done with this rattle. Does anyone know if removing it will cause harm to the body. Thanks
