i have a 03 silverado 1500. im looking to do up some dual exhaust on it but when looking at mufflers i run into a problem. what do they sound like, whats the diferance in sound between a round muffler and oval, and as they get longer do they get deeper or louder? I also run the problem of size. a freind of mine has a dodge and he ran a 3" exhaust and he was loosing to much back preasure, so that brings the question of weather i should go 3" or 2.5". i wana make sure that i get a good sounding system on my truck so any help would be awsome. thanks.

A simple 2 into 1 flowmaster or dynomax will give you a real nice tone and retain your backpressure and low end torque.

It doesnt have to be epensive, I have A 99 silverado and cut the original muffler of and replaced it with to 20 dollar cherry bombs and it not super loud and the back pressure is fairly close to the same as it was with the original muffler. Just throwin that out there!!!
