cummins is always the better choice! dont get me wrong. im the biggest dodge hater out there, and im one of the biggest chev lovers too! but you cant ignore the cummins power and reputation
they have held up so long over so many years. the duramax is good, but in my opinion not even close in comparison to the cummins POWER!!! OH OH OH!

you are crazy with the exception of the new 6.7lt cummins that is coming out, unless they were chipped/programmed the duramax would smack their asses. the 2 motors are now equal 360hp and 660lbft tourque. go with the duramax in the GMC just because the dodges are ugly as crap.
anyways, the duramaxes are great. my uncles 03 with no mods got like 18-19 mpg in city.
plus the allison transmission is really good.

You guys are getting carried away, the chevy hasmore power right now than ANY other diesel out there. Also it has the Allison tranny, what does dodge have. A new unproven motor. Chevy has the same basic D-Max and has made changes to the programming and the exhaust system to make it 2007 compliant. Right now Chevy (GMC) has the best. PERIOD!

Yes, but you have to remember everybody is using the same process for the new emissions standards. If you guys want to look at the most recent DYNO's for the new models, look at www.dieselpowermag.com

remember,3/4 and 1 tons are NOT mpg rated...in other words, they suck and the government knows it...be prepared with either truck for 15 or less on a dually
