To gain your more low end, 2 things. Either change out the rear end ring and pinion gears or get a higher stall torque converter. Ring and pinion is cheaper of the 2.

i belive i have 410 gearing in it now

Then you should be ok. My truck does no towing so Im gettin a 2800 stall to help more off the line.
