Chevy Silverado Turn Signal Mirror Help!

New Member Hello, We own a 2005 Chevy Silverado 1500 pickup - loaded. The other day while at work, someone stole the driver side and passager side turn signal mirrors – glass only. Nothing was cracked or broken and the plugs were left, just the mirror glass was gone. 1) How can they remove the mirror without breaking it? 2) Is there an easy way to replace it? 3) What is the cost to replace both mirrors – turn signal, heated, automatic dimmer? 4) Any ideas to keep it from happening again? Thanks for the help!

If that ain't a bunch of crap!!! People will steal anything. We had a guy going around stealing tailgates a few years back. He stole dozens before he was caught. I don't know of a way to keep the mirrors from being stole but I do know the whole mirror is very expensive from the dealer. I think I would be checking salvage yards for replacements.
