Default Broken leaf springs

i have an 89 ranger, and the spot where the leaf spring coils around the bushing is cracked on one side and broken on the other. Is there any way i can weld a peice of steel on the crack, or do i have to buy new springs?

Default Broken leaf springs

I have 2 problems associated with the front leaf springs on my 1910 automobile. The first is that the front springs have lost their original shape, the front end sits too low. Can the springs be taken apart, heated and re-shaped, then re-hardened by heating and quencing? The second issue is that one spring was broken. Can it be welded and then re-hardened? I appreciate any advice or articles on this topic. _______________________________________Website I designed for payday cash loan company.
