Default gap between bed and cab

I have a 2000 silverado z71 1500 fleet side ext cab, that has had recent body work done on it. I just want to know what the gap between the bed and the cab should be. I know mine is off and have spoken with the body shop, who agreed to fix it but i wanna make sure it done to specs. Also, should the gap taper from the top to bottom or should it remain uniform?

Thank you

Man even if you have it done to specs, it will shift over time. Just get it pretty close to uniform and thats all you can do friend.
