7.3L diesel w/c6 trans HELP

i just bought a 1989 f250 supercab 7.3L diesel with a c6 tranny i was wondering if any one knew what rpms it is spose to shift at and what kind of rpms does it run at around 65 mph something just doesnt seem right to me so if any one can please help
