Default 97 Sonoma Battery Drain

Anyone had a smilar problem where the truck kept draining the battery when it was off? When it's on the volt meter shows 14 as the charge so the alternator is working. I am looking for a way to get this problem fixed asap since my corolla's windsheild just cracked on both sides... so I need to get the truck on the road asap

It's a 4.3 vortec if that makes a difference on how to fix it .

Dead short, that can be anywhere in the system. Simplest way? Shut off the truck and see if you can hear anything that shouldn't be on, I've seen a clock on aradio drain a battery (Pioneer). If that fails, break out a test light and start searching for shorts.
