air conditioning not working
Hello all. this is my first post here. My air conditioning blows hot. The fuse is alright, I cannot see any leaks in the line, but the a/c compressor is not spinning when a/c is turned on. What do I need to replace in order to make this happen? I don't believe a simple recharge will fix this unless the compress automatically stops spinning when it runs out of freon. Will new clutch bearings fix this? Or do I need a new compressor? It's an 88 Chevy S-10 with the 2.8. Bought it for 800 bucks, not wanting to put much into it. Let me know guys. thanks so much.

RE: air conditioning not working
if you have to get a new one DO NOT get one from a junkyard... the a/c's in those things are p.o.s, and i got four bad ones in a row off wrecked trucks before i finally bit the bullet and bought a new one on my old s-10
