I think that is their attempt to get fuel economy without killings its ability to haul ***. But I bet that puts a damper on 1/4 times.
Something I think we all have to remember. These are trucks. I forget all the time. Yes they can haul some ***. But I was looking around lastnight at beater cars and found that some kid squeezed 450 hp out of a little Nissan. I also found a freakin Chevette with a small block! A Chevette! You can make ANYTHING fast, buts its either time and money or just alot money to do it.
I wish I could deck out the truck. But I have to play "keep-up" with the body in this area, so that won't happen. That discourages me from buying new too. Why pay 35K or more for a truck, and then trade it in three or four years later for half of that amount? And if you keep it you have to fix the hell out of it in 7 or more years.
I'd prob buy a Yota if I had the cash, but loose 2K in a trade in and spend $500 or more a month for insurance and truck payment, no can do. Might look at a car soon. Gas prices just went up again, as Im sure they did where you guys live too.

yes gas prices blow everywhere. but to quote a country song i heard," i won't sacrifice my familys saftey just to save a little gas.........you do your thing, i'll do mine"
right on!
1fast4x4- I'm with you fast is fast and that makes me happy. if i could afford a titan i would have bought one. I will always be a gear head and no matter what i drive it will be tweaked.

Ah your screwed no matter what in that case. You just have a slightly better chance in a truck. Anything hitting you hard enough, like a semi, you can loose even in a tank. But your right in the sense that you need all you can get, especially this time of year.
