i am looking at putting a 6 inch lift on my truck. someone told me i would have to change brake lines, steering and other stuff is this true. i know i will have to replace the shocks. which lift brand should i go with. i am also looking at yokohama goelander h / t-s g051 lt 285-75r-16's tires. i am going to put them on my stock rims for winter / hunting season. i found them at discount tire direct for 616.00 shipped to my door. any thoughts on them. thanks for your help.

I've looked at a lot of lifts, and I really like Skyjacker. It's a really complete kit. That's just my opinion, there are a lot of good lifts out there.
As far as the tires, 285/75-R16 is too small for a truck on a 6 inch. It's gonna look like a skateboard. Go with 35's, if you don't, you will wish you did.
You don't have to replace the whole brake lines, just the flex line that connects to the caliper, so yes you will have to bleed the brakes. And, since you have to take the calipers off anyway, it's a good time to upgrade the brakes. SSBC makes good stuff at reasonable prices. Just my 0.02.
