Default 04 Silver and Shocks

Have a '04 Silverado with about 48 thousand miles and shocks are gone.....

Was under truck other day and the front shocks have a Delphi code TSYS24 (maybe its TSY524) and rear shocks have a Delphi code of TZJ805...

They are 'electric" ride control shocks that are controlled by push button switch on dash.... Never seemed to work but that is another issue...

Any way, what have I got, there seems to be a hint that they are part of a ZX3 package but I have not been able conform this as there does not seem to be any obvious indicators on truck what ZX3 package may be....

I have hunch these shocks are a very expensive "package" to replace.... I am seriously considering abandoning the "ride control" feature and just putting a simple gas shock on in its place....

Any thoughs, comments or links to information would be appreciated...

Dale

Hello,

I also have this option (Zx3) on my 2000 Silverado LS 5.3L. I have about 85000 miles on these shocks. You are right, these shocks if you were to buy them from the dealer would cost a fortune. So, i found this site that sells the OEM shocks for less than what the dealer would charge you. Best part they are brand new Delphi OEM shocks. I just purchased some yesterday front and rear, should have them by end of this week.

Anyway, here is the link www.autopartauctions.com. Hope this helps.

Best,
Nate2000
