I just bought a 08 extended cab 4x4 with the 5.3L. I have been debating on what exhaust to put on it. I was thinking of a borla, SLP, or magnaflow stainless cat back systems, but then i heard some youtube clips with some flowmaster super 40's and super 44's, and the trucks sounded amazing with them on. I just want to get some opinions on what i should put on my truck. I want it loud as possible but with a DEEP loudness. Also what air intake should i get.

Flowmaster make one with a built in dump it looks badass! My bud has the 44s and they are damn nice!! But if you want it as load as possible dump it!! You can put an electric cut out on and it will be about as loud as open headers.

 

Will it cost more with the dump????? Also Would you go with the super 40 flowmaster single in/dual out or super 44 single in/dual out. I want the deepest loudest sound with the best performance. I am gonna go split rear, what size tips should i get.

Yep the dump will cost more. They are pretty cheap if you want to open and close it manually. What do you mean by split rear?

Well when ever you oder them you could call and ask witch is the loudest but I think its the 44s. Im going to buy a Gibson and mount it in the stock location then just elbow the exit pipes down. I dont like the tail pipe sticking out anywhere really. I just like the clean look.
