1. Bumpy ride. Even on smooth roads at slow speeds, it feels like I'm randomly hitting small bumps. I've had the same feeling in an old Jeep, but that turned out to be loose axle bolts. I've checked those, and the tires, and can't see a problem. Anybody else feel this?

2. Rear end is just too damn high. Is there an easy way to lower it about 3"?

Well I don't have an 08 but I gaurantee you with your warranty, if you'll take it to your nearest Chevrolet dealer and tell them to check it out they will jump right on it.

As for the ride height, might skim through the Truckin' Magazines and see if you can find a good lowering kit to maybe lower the back 2 inches. 3 inches would probably be overdoing it. Also, if you ever intend to tow with it it's gonna sag so if you lower it 3 inthe rear and leave the front stock, your gonna look kinda odd rolling down the street with the nose pointed up.

 

Not only that, but when you change how the truck sits you will change the angle of the head lights. I get really pissy when people lift trucks and don't change thier brakes or headlights.

If it has 20" wheels then I'd blame it on that! I heard bad things about ride quality on Fords, Chevys and Dodges alike with 20" wheels on them from the factory.

 

I am having no issues with my '08. The ride seems to be very smooth, can hardly feel the potholes here in Chicago. As far as the rear end goes, as someone stated..I test-drove mine and liked the high butt! I treat my car like a lady..... and as the song goes...... Face down....A$$ UP, thats the way we like to F-ck!
