13.1V???
ok i have an 06 with a 5.3 regual cab. the voltage will drop to 13.1v after idling for a few mins. it starts out at the 14.1v like it should. now this only seems to happen during the day time. it does not due it at night and also i have seemed to loose about 3-5 miles to a gallon when this happens. i have been to the dealer twice for this now and they tell me everything checks out normal and that 13.1v is normal sometimes????

RE: 13.1V???
Dude, 'you're' is a conjunction of 'you' and 'are'... 'your' is a possesive.
You just called that guy (White06)a fan.
I'm just busting on you, don't take it too hard. Minor things like that just irk me to no end. I'm sure I have many more annoying traits that every forum member finds more troubling. : )
I'm gonna go now.

RE: 13.1V???
Anyway, if it is still under warranty take it back to the dealer and tell them to check it, and check it again. If they still say they can't find anything wrong take it to another Chevy dealer and have them check it. Don't let them walk all over you cause one tech told his service manager there ain't nothing wrong with it in "HIS" opinion.

RE: 13.1V???
yes this is with nothing on at all. i will take it to a nother dealer as soon as i can find some time to. now i was reading in the owners manual and it said something about there being a fuel saver mode where the voltage may go down some?? anyone know anything about this, i also have the flex fuel motor if that matters at all.
