1983 305 motor for sawmill
i'm going to use a chevy 305 motor from a truck my son wrecked a couple of years ago to power a small sawmill (upgrade from a volvo 240 motor.) i was wondering if anybody knows offhand about the wires that connect the distributor to the ecu. i've got a set of five - green, red, black brown and white - wires coming off the distributor that connect right up to the ecu.
but there are two wires left over, a yellow and a blue. i was thinking these might go to the ac and to a tach. is it ok to disregard these two?
having a hard time locating a wiring diagram that shows this particular setup, thanks for any help

in other words i'm finding diagrams like this:

but the wire colors are not the same as the colors on my motor. the two 'extra' wires coming off my ecu module according to the autozone diagrams are for a knock sensor. this doesn't seem likely but maybe that's the deal
