I have a 1987 Chevrolet Silverado K10 with a stock front end. im wanting a custom style grille but i refuse to have the same style as other people or pay more than $50 so im thinking about doing a mesh style either buy some steel mesh and build a metal frame for it in ag shop at school and paint it gloss black and put rivets on it like "RBP" grilles do or go cheap an just get some of that tough flexable mesh you see on the front end of semis in the winter an surcure that some how an the stock grill is already painted black.
Give me some ideas that you can think of. It needs to cost less than $50, not look like ones people can buy in stores an try to be a mesh style but any others i may consider.

I personally like the chrome/stainless steel looking grills that are made of small lines. As far as mesh goes, just buy some and cut it to fit!
