1991 Chevy 5.7l V8 Problems
So ive tried everything that i can think of and still cant figure out why my truck wont start. I drove it for about 15 miles one day and stopped to make a turn and the truck killed in the middle of the road. After getting it towed back home ive worked on it multiple times with no success. So i'm looking for help. I cant get it to crank over at all. When i turn the key the only thing that happens is the headlights turn on. ive tested the started, alternator, battery, all the fuses and as much of the wiring as i can see. Im wondering if anybody else has run into this type of problem or would have any idea what could cause this. Any suggetions would be appreciated. Thanks

On my dad's 90 model the little wire coming off the main positive cable went bad. With it being busted it would not allow the truck to crank. We did not know it was bad until we accidently wiggled it and it fired right up. Replace it with another factory cable.

that's something ive tried. i get power all through the truck. everything works inside the truck and the lights will come on when i turn them on. i had already replaced the main positive cable. the thing that has me the most confused is when i turn the key all the front lights come on at once.
