1994 GMC K1500 Electric Fan Install
Well am going to do the ele. fan installation. I found all parts I need for $138 include New fan-----It is the one for a Thunderbird?? Is this still ok?? From what I read the MarkViii is best but this suppose to be as good?? I am not sure?
It is 18inch and suppose pull alot cfm? And uses less amps to run it and I believe its two speed thats how I am hooking it up. Any thoughts before I order the fan I would like input? I orederd other parts but would like be sure about this fan? Part Number# FSS 75627

I finally got this finished for most part just have not got the sensor for the fan for cooling temp---In one photo you can see the 1/8 pipe hole in the 3/4inch plate I made on lathe where the switch is going to go--I changed couple things from what my diagram says--I installed a 180* thermostat and ordered a switch to come on at 200* and off at 185*---And when I got the fan had to run 12 volt power to center wire[changed to 10 Gauge] and control high and low speed with other two for grounds--So had to just move couple wires around is all---Works good so far testing.
The blue plastic I have relays bolted to is 1/4inch thick I just heated bolts up and melted into plastic from behind and then put another plastic plate over that one that way nothing shorts out--
The toggle switch inside is set up to let it run full automatic when in up position--There the 200* sensor will turn fan on & off on low speed---There can turn AC on which will turn OFF low speed and run fan on high speed--And if going on turnpike for hours with AC on I can switch toggle switch to center and run high fan speed OFF---And while say driving on long pull with AC off I can turn toggle switch to other on position which turns fan on High speed [shuts low speed off] it low speed is not cooling enough on pull?? Had to put a diode in line to AC so will not back-feed and turn AC clutch on---
On total cost I ordered most all on amazon which came out around $140 But if I applied for there card they took off a $100 so this whole thing came out to under $50 bucks--Then in month or two will cancel the card--[works for me]]
