looking into buying a used one with about 80K on the clock. Not familiar with these years. What do I need to look out for/expect to fix?

Before i bought my 2005 i had a 2000 1500 z-71 with about 75,000 miles on it. and it ran great. Had to replace the ujoints but thats it. It had 98,000 on it when i traded it and it was running great. One of my friends had a 2000 since new and just sold last year with 150,000 miles on it and all he had was to replace was air comp. on it. But any truck is man made and you never now from one truck to the next. But all the chevys i have been around no matter what year ran great. I would never buy a dodge or a ford over a chevy. Thanks
