Hi,
I posted in the Sierra forums also but read that I might get a better response here in the Silverado section.

I just recently purchased my truck. I love it so far. the previous owner kept it very well. However, the elderly gentleman wasnt much into aftermarket parts. I just had a few questions.

I am looking at doing the "Free" mods to it this weekend. My friend offered to sell me a Flowmaster Super 40 series muffler for a very good price, brand new. I am assuming I can just have the original muffler cut out and this put in. Would I notice much of a difference with just this swap?

Also, the headlights and taillights are dulling due to the heat here in vegas. I was wanting to replace them with something aftermarket, do you guys have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

I think most would agree that a muffler is more "seat of the pants" power rather than a "real" power adder. While the muffler manufacturers will claim X HP increase, it just feels (and sounds) better. Do it, but don't expect to shave seconds off your 1/4 mile time

did you do the muffler swap? I had a 90's suburban that I got a FM 70 series on; and hated it because of the in cabin drone I got from it. I do a lot of driving and noticed I got headaches from it all. I now have an 02 with the OEM muffler on it; but have been recently reading that there is a resonator that one puts inline (I believe in front of the cat?) that takes that drone out; so now i'm interested in swapping out exhausts again. It sounded cool just drove my head bonkers.
