2007 SIVLERADO 6.0 PERFORMANCE
I just bought a 07 silverado a couple days ago. I wanted to get a chip or tuner so I can get some extra power and better gas mileage. I can find anything anywhere. I dont know much about chips or tuners either. What is a good brand.
Thanks for the help.

I believe EDGE products makes a new tuner for the 07 chevy's. I would say check it out. Also you can try a wheatley tune from www.gowheatley.com.

I haven't found chips to give any extra mpg's, usually you will stay the same or even loose a little in my past experiences. Getting rid of the torque management alone would be worth it though. I forgot that GM has that little problem with them!

i think probably most of them would give you better mileage if you drove the same, but whats the point of the extra power if you're going to drive the same? i know four or five people with hypertech, superchip, and/or jet and they all said mileage stayed the same but power increase was noticeable

I am getting intake in the next couple of weeks. I definitely need to get rid of the torque management. That raced one of my friends with a acura gsxr, I almost had him, but with the torque management gone I would have stomped him.
Any pointers on intake, I was just going to go with a k&n

The standard fuel tune gets better gas milage on the Hypertech on average of 1mpg city and 2mpg highway. The premium 91+ fuel tune gets the same and a little bit more if you use 93 octane.
Honestly, I've been learning ways around the Torque Management with tuning and driving. For instance, reducing coolant temps and adjusting the rpm limiter and shift points accordingly makes it take off better. If I finially get the electric fans, that will help too. Rolling into the gas pedal helps and hitting the gas twice on take-off helps. I don't know if I want it completely gone anyways, if it holds out like my last truck I'll prob get a Chevelle anyways. And that thing will get the full treatment.
