Default 2007 Z71 weird issues...Vibration???

Hey guys,

Just got a 2007 Z71 classic. I absolutely love the truck. Just wanted to get some other opinions on a slight issue I am having...

I have noticed a slight vibration sometimes. This occurs when I am on the gas very slightly. Like accelerating very slowly or backing out of a parking spot. It doesn't do it if I accelerate quickly. Sometimes I feel like I just hear a noise and other times it's like I can actually "feel" something in the floor. It sounds like something on the right side of the dash is vibrating when this occurs. Just kind of worried it might be in the driveline. It is under warranty through the end of this year, just kind of worried about taking it to the dealer cause I am sure they will say the "can't reproduce it." Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Could be some worn out u-joints. Have a mechanic check em out. Or just have it put on a lift and start her up and put in gear while looking under.

Yeah, I had considered u-joints, but just doesn't seem logical with the type of noise/vibration I am having. I have had my share of warn u-joints in the past and this does not seem to be exhibiting the same symptoms. The truck only has 48,000 miles on it as well. All stock, no lift or anything. Oh well, who knows....

Hmmm doesn't seem common. Only other thing I could think of is maybe exhaust vibrating somewhere. Since you said it doesn't do it when you accelerate quickly, maybe because the exhaust is shifting a little under throttle. I dont know just might look into that.

I would recommend contacting your local dealership for more information. There are many benefits to taking a vehicle to your local dealership. You can guarantee that technicians are ASC certified and that the parts come with a GM parts warranty. Someone from service could also take a ride with you so that they can experience the issue as you do.If you have further questions, please feel free to contact me directly. Thank you.
Tricia, GM Customer Service.

Yeah I definitely was thinking something in the exhaust as well. Also, thank you Tricia. I will probably be taking it to the dealer if I can't locate the issue.
