Question 2500 4X4 problem

I have a 2007 GMC 2500 new style gas and when the truck is in 4wd it is just about useless, when i am trying to get through snow its the worst it seems like i don't have all my power, the wheels wont spin and it just creeps along. My local dealer has told me that this is a safety feature built into the truck it only gives you 25% power form a standing stop. now this seem kinda weird to me because like i said it doesn't do much good in 4wd. so i was wondering if anyone els out there has had a similar issue and some possible solutions.
thanks.

Are you experiencing this in 4WD L or 4WD H??? I have the same truck but the diesel.
I've never heard of this 25% thang.
I drag race my truck in 4x4 for better launches at the green light.

I never heard of the 25% thing either. You should check with another dealer or contact GM direct. I have had issues similar when using Auto 4WD but not in 4h or 4L.

Then be sure to come back and update us on what the issue was. I would be very interested to know.
