3 problems with 6.2 diesel 4x4 1/2 ton
Hello All
New to this web advice...but am at wits end.
My truck...92 Chevy Sierra extended cab 4x4, 6.2 diesel...400,000KM on truck, 70,000KM on motor.
#1. Tranny will go into lock-up on hard accelleration (past 40mph), but when I ease off to posted speed (55mph) it comes out, then goes in...etc.
I switched the TPS unit with a tps from a 88 diesel van.(wire harness was different, so I re-wired the old end onto the new tps I got off the van) Now its really hard going into lock up..any advice on this one?
# 2. Where is the actuator (electric)that controls the defrost flap for the heat that blows on the front windowlocated? Its not opening up all the way..only very little...[>:]
# 3. When I shift the 4 wheel drive shifter into 4x4, no light comes on in the pannel, saying its in 4x4....its locks the fronts briefly (drive about 20 ft), then I loose the front drive....no longer in 4x4.
The actuator that screws into the front axel seems to be working, as I had it out and shifted into 4x4 and the piston came out and stayed out...I evenbought another actuator and tried it..same thing...any advice on this problem?[8D]
I'm guseeing electronics on all 3 problems...but dontknow where to go from here...I hate paying $80.00an hour for atricky, yet very simple fix.
