4 wheel drive

2006 silverado 1500 ls 4x4 my 4 wheel shifter is on the floor is it normal for it to grind alittle when putting into 4 hi or 4lo?

Yeah they all do it. To minimize it try and shift it firmly and quickly (like a putting a boat in gear). You don't want to let it sit between gears where it grinds any longer than necessary. Welcome to the forum!

When i put it in 4wd high it helps if im moving like 5-10 mph.with 4wd low i completely stop shift into neutral then move the lever from 2wd into 4wd low.

Right on! I was at the Navy game this weekend and I will be in Ann Arbor for the Michigan game.

Florida looks good this year, but I think Texas will give them a run for there money.
