4wd-Lo question
Well I received a call at 3 in the morning from my little cousin with a ford ranger 2wd with a lift and mud tires (thinks its a 4wd) who was stuck really bad in some nasty mud and needed me to pull him out. My question is as I was pulling him out I was in 4- Lo. I wasn't paying attention to the speedo and as it was spinning the tires it automatically shifted to 4-Hi. (Guess tires were spinning too fast) Will this cause future orimmediate damage to my front axle, transfer case, etc.?? I have used both 4-Hi and 4Lo since but it takes forever to shift into and out of 4-Lo now. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

RE: 4wd-Lo question
sometimes it takesa minute or longer to engage. I always have it in neutral when trying to shift in to 4WD LO. Is shifting from lo to hi after a certain speed a safety feature or did i screw something up??
By the way its electric shifter.
